A single-SKU brand can get away with one supplier relationship. A snack portfolio rarely can, because chips need a different barrier than popcorn, cookies need crush protection that trail mix does not, and a rigid box for a gift set has nothing in common with a flow-wrapped single-serve pack. Most snack brands end up with three or four vendors before they ever intended to.
That fragmentation is a procurement problem, not a design one, and no single snack packaging supplier or custom snack bags catalog can fix it, because a printer only sells what its own press already runs. Our sourcing and brokering model exists specifically for portfolios like this. We map your whole SKU range once, then source each format against what it actually needs. That is what custom snacks packaging solutions should mean, one partner across a range, not a bag-by-bag scramble.
One brand we work with runs trail mix, a lay flat chip line, and a flow-wrapped bar under a single label. Before consolidating, those three SKUs ran through three separate print jobs, three separate minimums, and three separate delivery schedules. Under one program, all three now ship against a single purchase order and one delivery calendar, with each format still specified on its own terms.
Most snack brands add a new supplier every time they launch a new format. We map the whole portfolio once, so a new SKU slots into an existing program instead of starting a new vendor search.
Snack brands come to us to stop managing three or four vendors for one portfolio, to keep working capital out of packaging that sits on a pallet, and to get formats specified against what each product actually needs instead of a generic barrier applied to everything. Custom snacks packaging solutions should simplify a range, not just replace one supplier with another. The fastest wins usually come from consolidating formats a brand already buys through separate vendors without realizing it.
Chips, popcorn, trail mix, cookies and bars each want a different structure. Snack food packaging is rarely one format, and multi-format snack packaging is the whole point of a portfolio program rather than a single bag. We match the format to how you fill and how you sell.
The workhorse format for granola, trail mix and multi-serve snacks. Zipper reseal and strong shelf presence across a wide size range.
Efficient on film for single-serve chips, cookies or bites where shelf footprint and unit cost matter more than a wide standing base.
For larger snack volumes needing flexible capacity, dependable seals and efficient shelf and storage performance.
For high-volume snack lines requiring efficient filling, reliable seals and lightweight flexible packaging.
For high-speed form fill seal lines running multi-pack chips, popcorn or bars. Specified to your web width and machine speed.
For individually wrapped snacks requiring smooth machine performance, secure seals and quality printed presentation.
For multi-serve snacks requiring repeated opening while helping maintain freshness, convenience and product quality.
For snack products needing lightweight protection, efficient packing and a strong custom-printed retail presentation.
For shipping snack products safely with dependable protection, stacking strength and efficient distribution handling.
For adding branding and product information to snack packs while creating a polished shelf-ready presentation.
For automated snack lines requiring consistent carton dimensions, reliable feeding and efficient high-speed production.
For single-serve snacks and smaller packs needing organized, highly visible placement at counters and retail shelves.
For larger snack promotions requiring durable branded displays, strong visibility and store-ready merchandising.
For snack products needing faster stocking, organized shelf presentation and protection throughout shipping and handling.
The mistake most snack brands make is applying one barrier spec across every SKU in the range. Chips need oxygen and moisture protection to stay crisp. Baked goods need crush resistance more than barrier. A protein bar needs a structure that survives a flow wrapper running at high speed. Treating all three the same either overspends on the SKUs that did not need it or underspends on the one that did.
We specify each format on its own terms. High barrier films for anything that goes stale through oxygen exposure. Reinforced or gusseted structures for anything fragile enough to crush in transit. Rollstock matched to whichever automated line is filling it, since a film that runs perfectly on one machine can jam constantly on another.
Our flexible films and pouches range covers this full structure list, inside the wider custom packaging program we build for each brand’s whole portfolio, not one SKU at a time. Our approved manufacturing partners hold certifications including Food Safety Certification, SQF, BRC, ISO, and FSC, covering both direct food contact and secondary and tertiary packaging in food facilities. Documentation is available on request.
Four things happen behind the scenes on every snack account, in this order, before your first production run is ever scheduled.
We map your whole range alongside twelve months of purchase history, flagging duplicate vendors and formats that are over-specified for what they hold.
We take each SKU’s filling equipment into account before sourcing and coordinate with co-packers directly across the range, not just the flagship product.
We operate from Toronto into Canada and the United States. Customs brokerage sits inside our service, run through the same logistics and fulfillment team.
Our make and hold programs let you print each SKU at the efficient quantity and draw stock down as needed, instead of funding a year of every flavor at once.
The internal work above happens on our side. Here is what the process looks like from your seat, start to first delivery.
Send your current packaging list across every SKU. We come back with where vendors overlap and what the same range costs consolidated.
We source against each product's equipment and volume, not a catalog. You get a specification and pricing built for your actual range.
First production run ships across the range, and future orders draw down from make and hold inventory instead of separate print runs per SKU.
We manage packaging production for food and beverage brands across North America through a vetted network of manufacturing partners, most spending between one hundred thousand and five hundred thousand dollars a year on packaging. That is the stage where a dedicated procurement hire is not justified yet, but a fragmented supplier base is already expensive, which is exactly where our custom snacks packaging solutions save the most.
Pouches, cartons, shippers, labels and displays across your whole range arrive on one purchase order, instead of folding cartons and sleeves coming from a separate vendor.
We review your business and packaging requirements before quoting anything, surfacing needs a line-item quote never asks about.
We factor each SKU's filling equipment into its specification and coordinate with co-packers through our co-manufacturer partnerships service.
Between sixty-five and seventy percent of our revenue comes from repeat customers. Read what they say on our client testimonials page.
We supply snack brands expanding across chips, popcorn, trail mix, cookies and bars, often at the exact point where the second or third SKU has already forced them into an extra supplier relationship they did not plan for. Wholesale snack packaging and retail packs often run side by side in the same program.
Snacks also sit alongside formats we already supply in volume: retail cartons for variety packs, corrugated shippers for direct to consumer orders, and retail display trays for grocery placement. Brands expanding into any of those add them to the same custom snacks packaging solutions program rather than starting a fresh supplier search for every new format. Brands running a wide flavor range inside one category, not just across formats, use the same consolidated approach to keep every SKU under one program instead of splitting them by size or flavor. This is not theoretical. One account relocated production from Chicago to Florida in the middle of a multi-SKU contract. Because we source across a network of manufacturing partners rather than depending on one manufacturer, we moved the account to the right partner near the new facility without missing a delivery, without renegotiating price, and without the brand having to manage the transition themselves.
Reliability that teams can measure.
As a small but growing brand, we struggled to find a packaging supplier who would take us seriously. AR not only welcomed us — they partnered with us. Their work with other startups showed in the quality of our packaging, and Daron went above and beyond, including helping our co-manufacturer optimize their equipment so our pouches came out perfect. We couldn’t ask for a more supportive, solution-focused partner.
ARG is the packaging partner we always needed. They cut through confusion, move fast, and operate like part of our internal team. Their expertise has streamlined our product development, and their above-and-beyond support — like Daron personally delivering samples to our co-manufacturer — is unmatched. We trust them completely.
Armour Rose Group believed in us when other suppliers didn’t. They treated us with the professionalism of a much larger brand and played a real role in helping us scale. Their team is collaborative, reliable, and always willing to solve problems together. Daron’s proactive support and genuine investment in our success stand out above anything we’ve experienced in packaging. Highly recommended.
From day one, the team has been a trusted partner. They provided clear guidance, cost-effective solutions under tight timelines, and the flexibility to scale with a startup. Communication is fast, pricing is transparent, and deliveries are consistently on time and high quality. Support is always there when needed, which makes a real difference. The entire experience makes you feel safe and in good hands— we absolutely recommend Armour Rose Group.
We source and supply the formats used across snack portfolios: stand-up pouches for granola and trail mix, lay flat pouches for single-serve chips and cookies, rollstock for high-speed automated lines, and flow wrap for individually wrapped bars. Alongside flexible packaging we supply folding cartons for variety packs and gift sets, corrugated shippers for direct to consumer orders, pressure sensitive labels, and counter or PDQ displays for grocery placement.
Because we source production through a vetted network of manufacturing partners rather than manufacturing ourselves, no single production method limits what we can offer across your range. Start with a conversation about your current specification and we will map out what your whole portfolio actually needs.
Yes, and this is the specific gap our model is built to close. A single manufacturer typically runs one or two production methods, which means a chip bag, a popcorn pouch, and a bar wrapper often come from three different presses even if they carry the same brand name.
Because we source rather than manufacture, we are not limited to one press or one film line. We specify each format against what that specific product needs, then source it from whichever manufacturer runs it best, and consolidate the ordering and delivery under one program so you are not managing three vendor relationships to cover one brand.
Yes. Different SKUs in a snack portfolio often run on different lines, or through different co-packers entirely, and each one has its own film width, seal temperature range, and speed requirements that a generic packaging order does not account for.
We contact each co-packer directly and work from their machine data through our co-manufacturer partnership service. Confirming compatibility per SKU before production starts costs considerably less than discovering a mismatch once a pallet of film has already landed at the wrong facility.
Three routes are realistic today, and the right one often varies by SKU. Mono material polyethylene structures qualify for store drop-off recycling across much of North America, carrying a lower oxygen barrier than foil laminates, which matters more for chips than for shelf-stable bars. Post-consumer recycled content cuts virgin plastic without changing the recycling route. Compostable films exist for some formats, though industrial composting access varies by municipality.
We set out what each option does to barrier, shelf life, and unit cost per SKU, since a blanket sustainability decision across a whole range rarely fits every format equally well.
Minimum quantities depend on the format, the print method, and the manufacturer we source from for that specific SKU, so a single figure across a whole portfolio would mislead most brands who ask. Rollstock runs to a different minimum than finished pouches, and digital printing carries lower minimums than plate-based printing.
What we can do is separate the print minimum from your cash outlay across the range. Our make and hold inventory programs let each SKU print at its own efficient quantity and release stock against actual usage, so a slower-moving flavor is not funded at the same rate as your best seller.
Yes. We operate from North York in Toronto and supply brand owners across Canada and throughout the United States. Cross-border movement is routine here, and customs brokerage forms part of what we handle, so a Canadian brand shipping into a US distribution network is not managing clearance separately for each SKU.
Delivery scheduling, inventory positioning, and freight coordination run through our delivery and inventory management service. If you operate several facilities or use co-packers in different locations, we can hold stock centrally and release it to each site. Call 416-688-8641 or use the form on this page to get started.
Send us your current packaging list across every SKU. We come back with where vendors overlap and what the same range costs consolidated under one supplier. No obligation to move anything, and no pressure to change what already works.
